During the season of Lent, we are often reminded of our Lord saying, “Man does not live by bread alone.” Nevertheless, most human beings are convinced that we should live for the things of this world and nothing else. In this sermon for Ash Wednesday, Fr. Toms explains that there is more to life than living for material things, power, and fame. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said that life is more than food. It is only by coming to know God through Jesus Christ that we can really live and know the meaning for our existence.
