In the opening verses of the book of Acts, St. Luke tells us that Jesus gave his disciples many infallible proofs of his resurrection from the dead. Why were these proofs needed? Since the resurrection of Jesus from the dead is central to what he came into the world to do, and so important to the preaching of the gospel, it was essential for the disciples to be assured of his bodily resurrection. But it is just as essential that all people everywhere believe in the resurrection of Christ. In this message, Fr. Toms demonstrates that Christ gave many infallible proofs of his resurrection to his apostles. Our infallible proof of Christ’s resurrection is the written testimony of the apostles. The Holy Scriptures are sufficient evidence of the resurrection of Christ and are the best means to bring people to saving faith in Him.
