Ever since the fall of man, human beings have been at war with God. Since nations are composed of human beings, even the nations of the world are also in rebellion against the Lord. In this sermon, Fr. Toms introduces us to the second Psalm which describes humanity’s hatred of God and his Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. The desire of all human beings is to be free of God, but our desire for freedom only leads to the misery and slavery of sin. All human beings will remain in a restless rage against God and one another until they come to the know the peace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
